Grover - Part 1

It’s Monday August 19th, it’s hard to believe I got here just a week ago. They have such busy lives. A lot going on. Pretty much their normal life. 😊

The first two nights Tom grilled. I can’t remember the last time he was home an entire week when I’ve been here. And one night Stacie made spaghetti something I always look forward to when I visit. I’ve mentioned before in my blogs that people laugh because I post so much about food but it really is what a lot of memories are made around. 😊.

Stacie and I had lunch at El Maguey one day and we all went out to a barbecue restaurant one night.

And after the barbecue dinner the kids gave me my birthday gift including a bottle of wine with a label adjustment πŸ˜‚. They also got me an ice cream cake we still haven’t cut into because of our schedules. Everyone was too full Saturday and we ate at the rink Sunday and didn’t get home until late from Haley’s first AA game. It was an outstanding game that ended with a 1-1 tie. Earlier that day Chase was at his last class for becoming a hockey referee.

Haley got her turn with the Blue Note Cup from last season so we got pictures with it. 😊

And then it was time for back to school. It’s hard to believe how fast the time goes.

Meanwhile Charlie chilled while Barley waited for surgery on her foot on Wednesday and Charlie and I leave tomorrow to work our way down to Cocoa Beach while visiting friends on the way.

The night before I left to go South the kids gave me an ice cream cake that they got me the other night. The night they got it we were too full from the barbecue restaurant and then last night we got home too late from Haley’s game. It was worth waiting for. πŸ₯³
