Time to Catch Up!
I can’t believe almost a third of 2025 is gone and I haven’t posted anything since the end of ‘24. There are probably a lot of reasons I could use to try to explain or justify why I haven’t posted but probably the simplest explanation is I haven’t been able to get motivated even when I’ve thought about doing it. So I will try to work backwards with this entry from today, April 27th to my last post on December 31st.

It’s been four days since I started this post so I’m hoping to make some progress on it today. The most recent issue with my health was having a growth removed from the top of my head. I’ve known it was there for a while but with everything else going on I just ignored it. When I finally asked my oncologist what he thought he told me to see a dermatologist. I first had pictures taken and sent for evaluation and I was then given an appointment to have it “shaved off” and sent for biopsy. “Shaved” turned out to feel more like “scooped with a melon baller” π. Still waiting on the biopsy results, here are some photos of the procedure. (Sorry, they’re pretty gross) π€’

πππ Sorry!

Saint Patrick’s Day and Easter have both come and gone during my time off from blogging. I tried to have traditional meals for both to find some normalcy. It’s still not the same as celebrating with family and friends but it helps. π
T

Even had my traditional green mint chocolate chip ice cream. π

And of course there’s treatment every six weeks for which I am very grateful.

I did manage to do a 1 mile “race” in April, the first since Butte to Butte last July 4th and the first since turning 76. I was hoping to “race” until I was at least 80 but it’s just not feasible any longer.

Finally for this post, I hate this Trump presidency even more than his first and I didn’t think that was possible. Here are just a small sample of how I feel about him.

Such a pathetic human being!
I didn’t make it very far on this post today. Stacie texted me this morning telling me she and Tom were at the airport getting a flight back to St. Louis. Barley had gotten sick and when Chase and Jackie took her to the vet they found tumors, the meds weren’t making her better and she wasn’t eating. When they got home they were all with her at the vet for about an hour and then she left for Rainbow π Bridge. I’ll try to work on this some more tomorrow.
Here is the last picture I took of Barley when I visited and the last picture Stacie sent me of her in Colorado last month. Common theme, her love of toys. π RIP Beautiful girl. You brought many wonderful memories! ❤️

Donna’s daughter in law visited for a week so we took her to Saginaw Vineyard our local winery then while we were there I made reservations for the next Friday night to take Donna, Brandy, Smitty and Denise for dinner and music. The meal was outstanding.
