Back to Colorado - Spring 2025
I had my infusion on Tuesday before the trip.
Today is June 14th. I left home a week ago yesterday for Colorado with plans to make my usual stops in Ontario, Oregon and Evanston, Wyoming which I did the trip was uneventful and I stopped at Loves Truck Stops when I could because they have dog parks and I can let Charlie run around.
In Ontario I had Panda Express and in Evanston Taco Bell. I got crunchy tacos for myself and a “Trump” taco for Charlie (chicken and orange cheese) 😂.
I had a great time in Colorado with the kids. After talking with Donna on the way out I decided to follow through with what were tentative plans to look into moving to Colorado now that the kids were back. So the first few days Stacie gave up a bunch of time she needed to unload the Pod when it was delivered as well as getting Chase ready for his Senior pictures and getting everything ready for their ten day trip to Japan, also Tom had to go to Asheville, NC for a couple days and helped me check out apartments. I also visited the VA for information to hopefully make the transition to getting treatment in Colorado go smoothly.
I found a nice place for Charlie and I and signed a lease electronically after I got home so I’m all in. My move in date is August 8th. I’m going to get rid of as much as possible before the move. Time to make a final purge of all the paperwork from coaching that I’ve carried around for years. The bottom line is no one at Sierra gives a 💩 about accurate record keeping. Time to admit it to myself and accept it.
While I stayed in a hotel because the kids just don’t have room for guests until their house is built, Charlie and I were over there everyday.
It’ll be a while before they’re ready to move in. 😂 It’s going to be beautiful when it’s done.
The first place we went out to eat was Lucky Joes the bar where Tom and Stacie met. The food was outstanding. I had fish tacos. Haley , Chase, Stacie and I went. When we went for Mexican food at the “Rio” (Rio Grande) Haley didn’t go with. The food there was okay but there will definitely be better places for Mexican in both Fort Collins and Loveland. 😊
Later that afternoon Stacie and I met Tom at the New Belgium Brewery. Tom was grilling that night but after lunch and then the brewery I had to cry uncle and call it a day.
Father’s Day was outstanding and definitely required a nap between brunch at Mishawaka on the Cache La Poudre and dinner when Tom grilled steaks. It was a great Father’s Day.
