Time to do an Overview of my First 4 Months back in Colorado!
Stacie and the kids came over and helped me unload the truck and then brought me a bed and Tom and Stacie brought the rest of the bedroom furniture the next day. They gave me a great welcome basket and Stacie set up my new TV and put together some bar stools. I couldn’t have done it without them.

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been in my apartment for four months today and haven’t done a post yet. But it just seems like there really hasn’t been a whole lot to post about until I start looking back through my calendar and my pictures and realize there really has been a lot that has happened. So I’m going to try to just catch up on the past four months all in one post and see how that goes. A lot of the first two or three months was making appointments getting licenses, getting registrations, getting a dog license, getting handicap, placard, and on and on, all the things that come with moving. Then there was changing address on insurance and credit cards and medical and whatever you have to do in a move, especially to a new state. So even though it seems like I haven’t done a lot I did get a lot done. It was just stuff that was time consuming. And probably not blog post worthy. 😂

One of the first things to do was letting Charlie explore the complex dog park. As well as him getting used to places to sleep and hang out in the apartment while I worked on unpacking and getting things organized.
And of course with a move it’s all new doctors. I first met with my new oncologist in Longmont at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center and had labs done. Of course hemoglobin and other indicators of PNH were poor. I also shared the lab results with my new VA Primary Care doctor and she ordered an overnight oxygen test. After those results came back I was prescribed oxygen use for overnight.

The first weekend I was here Gerald and Kari Romero came to Loveland so she could do an ultra at a park that was just a mile and a half from my apartment so I went and hung out with Gerald a couple of times.

I ordered a futon for my living room in case I have visitors and Charlie helped me assemble it. 😂 And then proceeded to make it his own.

Having a bigger kitchen has been nice and I’ve expanded my menu a little but it’s still easier to stay with some favorites. 😊

Sorry to show so many food pictures but obviously I enjoy food. 😂 Additionally as I’ve said many times in previous blogs food pictures bring back a lot of memories including shared memories at Doug’s Diner in Loveland. I ate there first with Jackie and Stacie then Stacie and I went back and my third time was with Tim and Jim Brady friends from the Springs who now live in Fort Collins. The have a very extensive menu but I’ve had the same thing all three times. 😂 I need to think about expanding my horizons.
